Dogwood Dash 5K Run/Walk: The festivities kick off with the invigorating Dogwood Dash 5K, organized by the Tallapoosa Lions Club. Participants of all fitness levels are invited to join this event, promoting health and community engagement. The race commences at 8:30 AM, with registration starting at 7:30 AM. Early registration is encouraged to secure a commemorative T-shirt. Awards will be presented to top finishers in various categories, recognizing the dedication and spirit of the runners.
Parade: At 2:00 PM, the streets of Tallapoosa will come alive with a vibrant parade organized by the Tallapoosa Historical Society. Participants interested in joining the parade can line up at 1:00 PM at the Rayford Roberts Memorial Ballpark.
