As Election Day draws near on Tuesday, November 4th, I’ve been reflecting deeply on the incredible messages that have poured in from friends, neighbors, and families across Tallapoosa. Each note, text, and conversation reminds me why this campaign matters, not for politics, but for people.
The strength and heart of our community are what drive me forward every single day. I wanted to share just a few of the messages that have inspired and encouraged me throughout this journey:
“Thanks for fighting for our local businesses. We have been neglected, pushed aside and pretty much forgotten unless it’s time to pay our water bill or taxes.”
“Joe, just the fact that you are publicly standing up to the ‘Powers That Be’ tells me you have courage and will stand up for the residents of Tallapoosa. Thank you for being our voice, we need more people like you.”
“Joe, I was born and raised in Tallapoosa. My heart breaks to see the town the way it looks now. I hope you are elected and will make Tallapoosa great again! Thank you and your beautiful family. Myself and many others are pulling for you.”
“Mr. Glass, it’s about time someone dares to break up the Good Old Boy system that rules over the city. Your courage alone deserves and will receive my vote. Thank you.”
“I loved your post about the city shopping for the Mayor’s Master Plan! Why would the mayor and the council members approve spending our money for something as silly as that? I’ve known most all the council members all my life, went to school and church with them. I can’t see them approving this unless they were pushed into it by the mayor. I’m voting for you and I hope you win. The town needs help. Thank you.”
“Joe, your vision and understanding concerning bringing in new business to help take the tax burden off property owners is spot on. I can’t believe people don’t understand how that works. Some of these people posting negative things need to go take some adult education courses. Just know you have the support of a lot of folks in town who are sick of the way things have been handled. Brett got my vote once, but he won’t get it again. Thanks for all you do.”
These are just a few examples of the words that have fueled my determination to keep pushing forward. When I hear from hardworking residents, small business owners, and lifelong Tallapoosans who love this town as much as I do, I’m reminded that this campaign isn’t just about change—it’s about reclaiming the heart and pride of our community.
To everyone who has taken the time to offer a kind word, share encouragement, or simply say thank you, know that your support gives me strength.
Together, we can bring honesty, accountability, and opportunity back to Tallapoosa. Let’s finish strong.
I’ll see you at the polls on Tuesday, November 4th.
